1 Working with Calendar Events
On the administration page, click the NuCalendar icon to display the Event Calendar Administration page where you can:
  • Edit calendar options
  • Edit event categories
  • Edit and delete one-time and recurring events
  • Approve pending one-time and recurring events
  • Add one-time and recurring events

2 Event Calendar Administration
On the Event Calendar Administration page, you can:
  • Edit calendar options
  • Edit event categories
  • Edit and delete one-time and recurring events
  • Approve pending one-time and recurring events
  • Add one-time and recurring events
The options and categories rarely need to be changed, and adding an event is very similar to editing an event (discussed in the next chapter).

To edit or delete an existing event, select the event from the one-time or recurring event dropdown and click the Edit Event button to the right of the event.

To approve an event submitted by a member or visitor, select the pending event from the [b]Events needing admin approval[b], then click the Edit Event button to the right of the event.

3 Event Maintenance
The Edit Event page is the primary function for maintaining events.

To approve[b] an event, change [b]Admin Approved to Yes. You can also hide an event by changing this to No. Click the Edit Event button to save the change.

To delete an event, click the Delete Event button.

To change an event, make the appropriate changes, then click the Edit Event button.

HTML may be used in the event's Other Information field, and a mini HTML editor will appear to allow you to do this if you are using Internet Explorer. Font changes will be ignore, but other formatting attributes will be used.

NOTE: Words containing script (e.g. scripture) will not be allowed when submitted by a visitor or member, but should be allowed on the event maintenance screen. This prevents visitors from using Javascript attacks on the site. Also, if visitors or you have trouble saving events that have descriptions containing apostrophes, use a double apostrophe instead (e.g. can''t instead of can't).
